Writing Through Grief
I wasn’t a writer. I had held my grief inside me for too long. I sat and let my finger type my heartbreak, letting a bit out. The next day I would have a tiny bit of space in my brain and I typed again. Some more memories of grief unraveled from the tight knot they had been locked in and released in the present-again there was some free space. I continue this process-writing a shitty first draft-transforming anger to forgiveness, and learning gratitude-and accepting myself as I am-almost dare I say it-loving myself as I am. I chose to stay in the present and I tell my wandering thoughts to come back to the present moment.
